I got the lavender latte which was tasty and the smoked salmon which was delicious. Great prices too! Parking is nearby at a garage for free. We did not have a reservation on a Tuesday morning and we were sat immediately. ”

“ I came here for a weekday lunch with a friend and WOW this was such a cute spot!! I loved all the decor and cozy cafe vibes and the staff was super nice, seating us pretty quickly. They also accommodate a lot of dietary restrictions which was nice to see. My friend decided to order brunch, getting the pancakes, but I decided to go for lunch, getting the Chili Tofu Bowl. Everything was absolutely delicious!! I loved the sauce on my tofu and the veggies were crisp and fresh and just a really filling meal. Overall, cool spot and I would love to check it out again, especially all the community events they have going on! ”

“ Come here so often since they have a strong happy hour and half priced burgers on Mondays. Finding a place that accommodates so many dietary restrictions and a good deal is not always easy. We came in on a Sunday since we did not care about the big football game and they pulled out all of the screens and TVs. The staff was even more welcoming and friendly than usual. Everyone working was such a gem and thank you all so much for hanging with us! We didn't know where to sit initially so appreciate the staff bearing with us as we figured out things before sitting down at the bar. They did all day happy hour so had to get both the regular and vegan nachos. They do them so well and for $6 it is such a good deal that you have to get them. One of the few places where the toppings are more than the vessel. The brussel sprouts were so good and that peanut sauce is beyond amazing. The chickpea tuna with the house salad was all we needed. The drinks were good and thank you for being creative and willing to squeeze oranges for a fresh orange crush. Appreciate the staff and will always come back. ”

“ I dream about Busboys & Poets. This is such a unique place to me! They have great food, kind servers, and are built on the foundation of education, community, and equity which is a message so clearly placed throughout the restaurant. From murals of civil rights leaders and various activists, to the literature choices for sale in the bookstore area. You can feel and see that they stand for something. I love that, and their food just as much! I dined in on a Sunday to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We had a party of 9. There was a wait time, but it wasn't any more than 10 minutes, which was impressive given it was Sunday Funday and our party size. I had just enough time to browse the bookstore and pick up a new card game! After we were seated. It took a little bit of time, but we eventually met our server and got our drinks ordered. We ordered our meals shortly after. I had the blackened salmon and it was AMAZING! The salmon was cooked perfectly. There was a slight crisp on the skin and the middle was cooked at medium temp. The corn salsa on top was a refreshing flavor and added some great texture to the dish. The wild rice underneath with the lemon butter sauce was also great. The sauce wasn't super lemon-y, which I appreciated. The salmon, rice, salsa and sauce combined was heaven in a bite every bite! The asparagus were also large and well seasoned. This is a light, but filling meal. I felt pretty healthy after eating it and it's so good that I try to recreate it at home a few times a year. My version isn't beating the real thing, so I look forward to returning so I can enjoy the OG instead. Go see for yourself! ”

“ Came to this restaurant and was blown away by how beautiful it was! The aesthetic was all decked out for the holidays and it created such a comfy cozy atmosphere. Got a tempeh sandwich which was pretty good. The tempeh was cooked nicely and I was glad to see a place that had a tempeh option. I also got the dragon shrimp appetizer but it was a little soggy, but had a good flavor. Their happy hour deals are great though! $7 for cocktails and bites. ”

“ Busboys and Poets is a must visit. The staff is super friendly and helpful with recommendations, food allergy accommodations, etc. The spot is very laid back with a lot of art on display. There are a ton of food options to satisfy all pallets. I will say that if you must get the French toast. It's amazing! The other dishes although plentiful, weren't something that I'd go back for. The party with me agreed on that assessment as well. After you eat don't leave without browsing the bookstore area. A lot of nice reads for all ages. All purchases come with a bookmark so a quick way to get a good read and a souvenir! ”

“ I went to Busboys and Poets to see one of my favorite authors, Kennedy Ryan. We received an email stating that the doors would open at 5 pm, so I arrived early to ensure I could get a seat since it was first come, first served. The check-in experience was smooth. The event took place in a space at the back of the restaurant. While seated, servers came to take our orders. I tried a lemon drop, Brussels sprouts, and wings. The appetizers were less than $10 each because it was happy hour. The wings typically come with inferno sauce, but I don't like spicy food, so I got them plain. The food and drink were satisfactory. When it was time to check out, the server took my card, processed it, and then handed it back to me so I could add a tip and sign. I selected the text option for the receipt. Upon reviewing my receipt, I noticed that the server had charged me for the food of the patron sitting next to me, who I was not with. I pointed this out to him, and he addressed the situation immediately, voiding the transaction. At this point, I was ready to pay in cash only because I wasn't comfortable using my card again. The server took about 20 minutes and then returned to say there was no cash to break my $50 bill, so I had to use my card again anyway. I was a little disappointed by that, but he did provide me with a receipt showing the initial charge had been voided. Overall, it was a good experience, but to avoid confusion, for those types of events I'll be paying with cash. ”

“ Busboys and Poets has good food and also books! Our server was very kind and attentive. We had the Small Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice (which tasted more like normal bottled juice), then the CHICKEN OMELETTE with sweet potato fries and CLASSIC BENEDICT with Ceasar Salad. I really liked the taste of the ham in the classic benedicts but they have a lot of hollandaise sauce which stole the flavor of the egg. The Ceasar Salad was good, the flavor you would expect. ESPAÑOL Busboys and Poets tiene buena comida y también libros! Nuestra camarera fue muy amable y atenta. Pedimos el zumo de naranja recien exprimido (pero sabía más bien como un zumo de naranja de bote), luego el CHICKEN OMELETTE (tortilla francesa con pollo dentro) con batata frita y los CLASSIC EGG BENEDICTS (huevos benedictinos con ensalada cesar. Me gustó mucho el jamón de los huevos benedicts pero la excesiva salsa holandesa le robó todo el sabor a los huevos. La ensalada cesar estaba buena, justo el sabor lo que esperarías. ”
